Clinical & Administrative Support · Virtual Medical Assistants

Administrative skill with clinical knowledge.

At Apollo XCM (AXCM), our Virtual Medical Assistants are rigorously trained remote professionals with nursing or medical backgrounds who take on complex administrative work for your providers.

The challenge

Providers spend too much time on paperwork.

Chart prep, coordination, and follow-ups pull providers and clinical staff away from patient care.

Virtual Medical Assistants combine administrative skill with clinical knowledge, so that work gets done accurately, without adding to your clinic’s headcount or space.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

How are Virtual Medical Assistants different from Patient Access Coordinators?

Patient Access Coordinators focus on front office work like calls and scheduling. Virtual Medical Assistants bring nursing or medical backgrounds to more complex administrative work, such as chart preparation and care coordination.

Which EMRs do you work in?

We work inside the systems you already use, including Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks, and more. AXCM meets Epic’s strict security requirements, so we can support practices running Epic, something most of our competitors are unable to offer.

Will my AXCM team member work for other practices?

No. Every client receives a dedicated resource who works only for your practice, just like a member of your own team.

How does your team access our systems?

Your practice sets up login accounts for your assigned AXCM team member in your EMR and other systems, with the permissions you choose. They work in your systems just as if they were sitting in your office, and you can adjust or remove access at any time.

What holidays do you observe?

We observe six US national holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

How do you protect patient information?

Our team works from secured facilities on company-managed devices, and our support is delivered in compliance with HIPAA regulations. See our security section for more.

Will this replace my staff?

No. We work as an extension of your team, taking on work that stretches your staff thin so they can focus on the patients in front of them.

How is it priced?

Pricing depends on the scope of work and the coverage you need. Talk to our team for a quote.
